It’s one thing for gays to be Boy Scouts, quite another to be leaders [Re] the May 28 letter from a Boy Scout who was overjoyed to hear that Boy Scouts of America had voted to drop the ban on gay Scouts, the writer felt it unfortunate that adult leaders were still unable to be involved in Boy Scouting. The truth is, there have been homosexual leaders and most probably there are still some who ...

No one has proposed fracking except in the Southern Tier. Some people must love energy dependency on terror sponsoring governments. We need energy independence and high paying energy jobs. Try reading up on fracking which is successfully producing American energy all over the country. The paid hysteria by the green luddites is really hilarious.

I was in the scouts, my son is still in the Boy Scouts, he just made Eagle Scout. I would never have let him go camping with a gay scout leader.

Using Fracking as opposed to burning coal is a method of energy that causes far less pollution and harm to our environment. However, most environmentalists won't ever entertain or consider fracking as an alternative energy source. These anti-frackers are under the delusion that this country should convert completely to wind and solar energy. While these efforts are noble, such a dramatic shift in energy production will take time, research and investment. The leading cause of global warming is attributed to coal burning plants and that reality should be a concern to all of us. According to the EPA, burning coal is the most harmful by-product of energy production in the world today. If we can ween ourselves off that scourge, we will all be better off. I never hear complaints or protest movements by the self-appointed environmentalists to shut down the worst polluters in the world, coal burning plants.

Replace "gay" and "homosexual" with another mistreated minority, like "black", and you see how wrong and ridiculous some of you people sound.

Great letter from Susan Myers. Cuomo's crony capitalism will never pass in New York. It's bad enough with local sales tax and property tax giveaways. The last thing we need is no income tax for carpetbagging corporations. So local homeowners and existing businesses can pay even more?
