— David Braley was driving along Route 4 in the town of Halfmoon early Sunday morning when police say he fell asleep at the wheel and hit and killed a pedestrian.

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call at 3:26 a.m. saying a pedestrian had been hit near the Route 4 intersection of Willow Lane. Upon arrival, they found Dennis Doten, 48, of 66 West St., Mechanicville, dead of traumatic injuries to his head and body.

Braley, 28, of 144 Mechanic St., Mechanicville, was uninjured. Clifton Park/Halfmoon Emergency Management Services and the Halfmoon Fire Department also responded to the scene.

The Sheriff’s Department accident investigation team reconstructed the incident and issued Braley a ticket for failure to keep right.

How is "driving while drowsy", any different than driving while intoxicated, driving while texting, or driving with a known medical condition, such as narcolepsy?

A ticket for "failure to keep right"?
They have got to be kidding.

The driver must be pretty well connected to have avoided any type of drug, or alcohol testing after having hit a pedestrian that was obviously ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ROAD, at 3:26am.

"Failure to keep right"
Think about it for a minute.
