— Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a burglar who broke into a local convenient store early Sunday.

A white male was seen crawling through a broken door window in a short video police distributed Monday.

The male, seen wearing a dark shirt emblazoned with a smiley face and the word “neff” in light blue coloring, kicked a hole in the door window at the Country Farms at 198 South Main St. at 5:15 a.m. before taking Newport cigarettes, according to police.

Anybody with information is asked to call the Gloversville Police Department's detective division at 773-4505.

I hope the burglar saw the recent Gazette article that menthol cigarettes are more dangerous to your health than regular cigarettes.
