McManus promoted to deputy Niskayuna police chief

A detective sergeant who began at the Niskayuna Police Department in 1992 has been named its new deputy police chief. Daniel McManus was named to the post this past week after the previous deputy chief, Stanley Fiminski, retired. Friday was Fiminski’s last day on the job after 31 years with the department, and his co-workers gave him a fond send-off.
