Charlton School program getting boost from grant
CHARLTON — The Charlton School has received a $15,000 grant from The Wright Family Foundation, which is associated with the SI Group of Schenectady. The grant is in support of Charlton’s Therapeutic Equestrian Program. The Charlton School is a residential treatment center and school.
TD Bank taps Davey as regional VP
LATHAM — TD Bank has named Robert D. Davey as regional vice president for upstate New York. Based in Latham, he is responsible for overseeing commercial lending, small business banking and related products and services provided to customers at TD Bank’s 26 retail stores across the region.
Davey has more than 30 years of experience in banking. He worked at JP Morgan Chase Bank for three decades. Prior to his new TD Bank position, he was senior vice president for Chase Commercial Banking for Eastern New York and Vermont.
A resident of Halfmoon, Davey has served on many charitable boards supporting local not-for-profits and educational institutions such as Siena College. He also served for many years as board member and chairman of the East Greenbush Planning Board.
Davey is a graduate of Vincentian Institute and Siena College.
Dacher, Durante joining VNA board
ALBANY — VNA of Albany and Affiliates has appointed Joan Dacher and Anthony Durante as new board members of the Visiting Nurse Association of Albany, Saratoga and Rensselaer; Visiting Nurses Home Care; and Visiting Nurses Foundation.
Dacher is a professor of nursing and the founding director of the Doctor of Nursing Science Program at the Sage Colleges. She has been on the faculty at The Sage Graduate School since 1995 and teaches in both the master’s and doctoral program.
Dacher has extensive clinical and research experience working with populations of older adults in community settings to support health, wellness and independence during the course of chronic illness and end of life.
Anthony Durante currently serves as the chief financial officer of Capital Living and Rehabilitation Centres (CLRC), a company composed of eight skilled nursing facilities throughout New York state.
In addition to his experience in public accounting as a CPA, his professional experience includes employee benefit plans, manufacturing, professional services and hospitality. He serves on two committees with the New York State Health Facilities Association and is one of the founding members of the New York Provider Alliance. He currently serves on the board of the Boys & Girls Club of Schenectady.
Miller joining investigative firm
CLIFTON PARK — Alliance Worldwide Investigative Group (AWIG) has added Shelby Miller to its customer support team. Miller will be responsible for supporting the various investigative divisions. Her duties will include providing service to clients with investigative needs.
In addition, Miller will help support the company’s sales efforts, including securing meetings and making presentations to executives, risk managers, attorneys and business owners as well as establishing strategic referral partnerships for the Alliance family of services.
Miller was previously employed at Integrity Works, an affiliate of the Health Association of New York, as a senior pre-employment screener. In that position, she conducted background investigations for large and small firms and performed verification of state and county records.
