— Schenectady police are searching for a young woman suspected of robbing a KeyBank on Eastern Parkway this morning.

A call came in around 11:16 a.m. of a reported bank robbery at 1610 Eastern Parkway, according to a news release issued this afternoon. Police say a woman walked into the branch and passed the teller a note that demanded money and implied she was holding a weapon. No weapon was displayed, though.

Police say the light-skinned black woman appeared to be in her late teens or early 20s, about 5 feet to 5-feet, 3-inches tall with a thin build. She was last seen wearing a blue New York Yankees baseball cap with a flat brim, a blue and white shirt, and capri pants.

She left the bank with an undetermined amount of cash and jumped on the back of a silver BMX bicycle being operated by a black man in a white shirt and jeans. The two were seen heading east on Eastern Parkway.

No one was injured during the robbery.

The BMX bicycle idea could give the writer of The Pines movie an idea for a sequel? More local non-actors could get big speaking role parts too!
