— Two people were wounded, one critically, when gunfire broke out at a Troy convenience store Thursday evening.

Around 7:15 p.m., Troy police responded to a report of a shooting at a Cumberland Farms on Campbell Avenue. They found a man with gunshot wounds to the upper torso, and at the same time were notified of a second victim being driven in a private vehicle to the Samaritan Hospital emergency room.

The man found outside the store was taken to Albany Medical Center in very critical condition; the other victim was in stable condition at Samaritan.

Capt. John Cooney said the shooting occurred outside the store and left vehicle windows broken. He said the motive was unknown.
