Union’s Donohue pours in 37

— Senior forward and co-captain Keven Don­ohue scored a career high 37 points, and senior guard and co-captain Joe Mason had 10 rebounds as the Union College men’s basketball team beat Rochester Institute of Technology, 72-55, at the Viniar Center on Tuesday night.

The Dutchmen improved to 17-3 overall and 9-2 in the Liberty League, and the Tigers fell to 6-12 and 2-7.

Donohue was 13-for-18 from the field, including 7-for-8 in the first half, when he scored 21 points to help Union take a 35-26 lead.

He moved into seventh all-time in Union career scoring, with 1,386 points, and is 12 behind Joe Wood in sixth.

Jameel Balenton led RIT with 22 points and eight rebounds.

RIT

SCHENECTADY — Union built a 39-22 halftime lead and rolled to a Liberty League victory over Rochester Institute of Technology.

Kelsey McDonald had 14 point and six assists for Union (7-5, 12-8), Brittney Kenney had 13 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, and Shayla Madden scored 11 points.

Mallory Apperson and Leslie Havens each scored 11 points for RIT (2-7, 5-12).

RIT

ALBANY — Madie Harlem scored 24 points to lead Hamilton (10-9) past Albany College of Pharmacy.

Alyson Johnson scored 16 points for ACP (11-3), and Taylor Sullivan and Megan Serley each scored 14.
