High school wrestling: Guardino tops at Corinth tournament

Split teams from Shenendehowa and Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake did well at the Corinth tournament. Both teams sent the majority of their starters to the Big 10 Invit­ational. The Plainsmen’s Kevin Guardino beat Galway’s Nico Riccio of Galway, 3-2, in the 106 championship bout to earn Most Outstanding Wrestler honors. Dietrich Hartman (99), Tyler Patchell (152) and Chris Naccarato (160) also won their weight classes, as Shenendehowa took the team title. The Spartans did not have ...
