Indoor track: Hollowood NB steeplechase champ

NEW YORK — Keelin Hollowood of Saratoga Springs ran a first-place 5:23.01 in the girls’ one-mile steeplechase, and Kara Snyder of Colonie went 10-9 for second in the pole vault at the New Balance Games at The Armory Track & Field Center.
In boys’ events, Shaker won the pole vault relay (28-0) and got a third from Jordan Crump-King in the triple jump (44-61⁄2), Saratoga took second in the 3,200 relay (7:58.45), and Ross Wightman of Chatham was second in the steeplechase (4:45.78).
James Steck (fourth, 14-9) and Dan Gavin (eighth, 13-3) joined to give Shaker its victory in the pole vault relay. Justin Bopp of Colonie was sixth in the pole vault (13-9).
