Two buildings involved in Mechanicville blaze

Two buildings were heavily damaged Friday by a three-alarm fire on South Third Street in Mechanicville. The fire started just after 5 p.m. in a two-story house at 249 S. Third St. and spread to the adjacent structure. No injuries were reported in the blaze, which took about two hours to bring under control.
