That is the problem, everyone thinks they should go to college. What is wrong with construction work? It is great pay and with it they get the experience to possibly become a business owner. This whole article is wrong on so may levels.

wmarincic- to stay of of poverty you need an education for most jobs. Constuction work is not to be frowned on (my father only knew construction work) and our family struggled. The constructon trade is dependent on weather- and if you dont have work,on a day to day basis- you dont get paid. Unlike salaried positions. My father insisted his children make it to college and obtained a degree that would give us options. Its all about options. Once you get a college degree- you can always choose or fall back on construction work or other hard labor. Not the other way around. Your whole view of reality, is wrong on so many levels.
