— Lily Grenci scored a career-high 30 points to lead Siena past Saint Peter’s on Thursday, 75-60.

The senior captain scored 20 of her points in the first half to help the Saints (2-3 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, 6-10 overall) to a 36-29 lead at the break.

She became the first player to score 30 points since Heather Stec in a double-overtime win at Loyola on Feb. 29, 2009.

The Saints also recorded a season-best 21 assists in the win, with six helpers coming from Ida Krogh.

Tehresa Coles, a Colonie graduate, collected six steals for Siena.

Grenci also led the Saints in rebounding with eight boards. Siena finished with a 36-26 advantage on the boards.

Clara Sole Anglada chipped in with 10 points. The Saints shot 51.9 percent from the field (28-for-54).

Siena also shot 83.3 percent from the free-throw line (15-for-18), hitting nine of 10 foul shots in the second half.

Saint Peter’s (0-5, 0-16) was led by Aziza May with 19 points and eight assists. Kristal Edwards had 15 points, and Kaydine Bent finished with 14 points and seven rebounds.

The Saints will host the Greyhounds of Loyola on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the ARC. A win in that game would move Siena back to .500 in the MAAC.
