Schuyler Girard scored 22 points to lead Glens Falls over Scotia-Glenville, 48-36, in a Foothills Council girls’ basketball game on Thursday.

The Tartans will be without three-time league MVP Cassie Broadhead for the rest of the season after tests showed a torn labrum in her left shoulder, an injury she suffered while blocking a shot against Hudson Falls in December.

She’ll have surgery on Monday.

Scotia also lost senior point guard Angie DiJohn to a knee injury. She had surgery to repair it Tuesday.

“I’ve got my two senior captains out,” Scotia coach Regan Gatta said. “Obviously, this is not the season we expected, but their senior leadership is still showing through, and they’re telling everyone to stay positive.”

Katelyn Dwyer scored 15 points for the Tartans (4-1 Foothills, 5-4 overall).

Jill Davis had 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead Queensbury past Johnstown, 45-42. The Lady Bills got 16 points from Courtney Cirillo.

Alexis Smith had a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds for South Glens Falls in a 61-40 win over Broadalbin-Perth. Shannon Higgins added 18 points, Sydney Coon had 14.

The Lady Patriots were led by Kaitlin Wood’s 15 points.

Bulldogs win

Despite the flu knocking several wrestlers from competition, the Cobleskill-Richmondville Bulldogs got a trio of pins late in their match with Lansingburgh to pull out a 46-33 Colonial Council win.

The victory moves the Bulldogs to 5-0 in the league and sets up Tuesday’s match with 6-0 Schalmont.
