Start the new year off right, get a cancer screening

As we ready ourselves to meet a new year, one of the greetings often heard or said is, “Have a healthy new year!”

Having a healthy new year can start with preventative measures for ourselves, which include employing the screening that is available for mammograms, breast and pelvic exams,

Pap tests for women 40 and older, and colorectal cancer screening kits for men and woman 50 and older.

Uninsured? The Cancer Services Program of Fulton and Montgomery Counties has as its mission to provide those who are uninsured the screenings previously mentioned. St. Mary’s Healthcare and Nathan Littauer work in partnership with the Cancer Services Program to provide these significant screenings so that we can look to a healthy new year.

In order to register, please call Suzanne Hagadorn at 841-3726. Let us look to a new year in which we can bring the best of our acts of kindness and compassion to each other in good health.
