"Life in the 1950s was better, thanks to God" and in the 50's Congress decided to add references to god in the pledge of allegiance. And things went downhill since.

Maybe having everyone mumble words rather then actually PLEDGING had something to do with it. No one in our schools is prohibited from praying. Only prohibited from forcing their prayers upon others. Or should we have our own Taliban here to enforce religious doctrine?
