CAPITAL REGION A brutally cold morning gripped the region this morning as temperatures dipped below zero.
The temperature was still in negative territory at -1 at 8:50 a.m. in Schenectady, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures are expected to climb slightly above 20 today with increasing clouds. Tonight there is a slight chance of snow showers with a low around 21.
On Friday, there is a chance of snow showers. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 34. The low Friday night is expected to be around 20.
On Saturday it will be mostly sunny, with temperatures reaching 30.
