Fired Schenectady official named Glenville comptroller

The former Schenectady budget analyst fired for speaking out against the city’s sales tax deal with the county is taking over Glenville’s finances. The Glenville Town Board appointed Jason Cuthbert tonight to a one-year term as comptroller, at a salary of $60,000. Cuthbert replaces George Phillips, whom the board chose not to reappoint.
