Catalytic converters stolen from Queensbury car dealers

— The Warren County Sheriff's Office is investigating the theft of 35 catalytic converters late Tuesday or early today from new vehicles at the Garvey Volkswagen/Kia and Garvey Hyundai car dealerships in the town of Queensbury.

The thefts are believed to have occurred between 7 p.m. Tuesday and early this morning. The total value of the stolen converters is about $32,000.

The sheriff's office is seeking assistance from the public. Anyone who may have seen suspicious activity at the car dealerships is asked to call the Warren County Sheriff's Office at 743-2500.

Check the scrap dealers. There are some very expensive metals inside those things.
Even more expensive, are airbags.
