Proctors has entered into a five-year partnership with Cirque Éloize.
The agreement was announced this morning at a news conference unveiling the lineup for Proctors in August. In addition to performing, Cirque Éloize will run a summer camp.
According to the Cirque Éloize website, their performances are a type of "contemporary circus arts," which are based on the various talents of the performers. The company has nine original products, done more than 4,000 performance in more than 436 cities and has been involved in numerous international festivals.
The announcement was touted as one that "redefines the summer arts and tourism scene" and will have "significant economic and tourism impact on our region."
Cirque Éloize came to Proctors in 2009.
