Burger 21 to open Albany restaurant
ALBANY — Burger 21, a fast-casual burger chain based in Florida, will open its first New York store in Albany.
Founded in 2010, the chain offers burger and slider creations ranging from beef to chicken, turkey, shrimp and tuna burgers, as well as salads, hot dogs, chicken tenders and a shake bar. It currently has five locations in Florida and a dozen restaurants in development in seven states across the East Coast.
Burger 21 announced that it had signed a franchise deal for the Albany location. Mike Stygles and Bruce Anderson will develop the Albany restaurant with hopes of adding more locations throughout upstate New York. Stygles owns the Melting Pot franchise in Albany.
