St. Johnsville church added to historic register

The old brick walls of First Methodist Episcopal Church of St. Johnsville have seen countless children baptized into the faith, seen them get married and seen their funerals. The church has stood strong since 1879 and while the once-flourishing congregation has waned to just 25 people, the building is still solid as an ox. Congratulations !!!! It's difficult to keep these Valley churches operational. Congregations dwindle. Nature takes its course among other factors. Hope you succeed in obtaining some Grant money. Betty MacLachlan
