Parent accused of exposing herself at Albany school assembly
ALBANY A parent exposed herself to students this morning during an assembly in the North Albany Academy cafeteria, according to Albany police.
Police received a report of a person exposing herself around 10:30 a.m. at the elementary and middle school on North Pearl Street. When officers arrived, school staff told them the parent, Aydrea Meaders, 24, of Albany, got up onto the stage in the middle of an assembly and began to dance. Staff said that while Meaders was on stage, she partially disrobed in front of the student audience and the assembly had to be dismissed early.
Meaders was arrested at the scene without incident and charged with seven counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of public lewdness. She was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court.
