— A one-car accident on Corinth Road has claimed the life of a 33-year-old Hudson Falls woman, according to the Warren County Sheriff's Office.

The woman's vehicle hit a power pole and sheared it in half, with the vehicle continuing down an embankment. Power lines were knocked down, forcing closure of Corinth Road from Van Dusen Road to Sherman Island Road earlier today. National Grid is on the scene and traffic is now flowing in one lane.

This stretch of Corinth Road runs between the Northway and West Mountain Road, a popular road for commuters and those traveling to the West Mountain Ski Area.

The name of the driver has not been released by authorities. She was the only occupant in the vehicle.
