Warren County woman accused of raping boy, 15
QUEENSBURY — A 33-year-old Warren County woman has been charged with third-degree rape for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office also charged Abby J. Berkheimer of 2 Queens Way, Queensbury, with committing a criminal sex act and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police were called to the woman’s home where the teen had been located by his parents after he had not returned home on time. A police investigation determined that the boy had allegedly been involved in a sexual relationship with the woman.
Berkheimer was arraigned in Queensbury Town Court and taken to the Warren County Jail for lack of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bail bond. The court also issued a no-contact order of protection on behalf of the boy.
