— City police said there were no injuries and no major damage when a crane working at a construction site on Lake Avenue and Pavilion Lane buckled and fell at the site just after 3 p.m. today.

“There were no injuries, no serious damage,” said Lt. Sean Briscoe of the Saratoga Springs Police Department. He said there were no apparent violations because the construction crane fell onto the fenced off work site.

A new, mixed use building called Pavilion Grand is being built next door to the Parting Glass Pub. The project for the five-story building was approved five years ago but work just started in recent months. The reason why the construction crane buckled and fell was not immediately available.
