Basketball: Tabbert, Cremo help Tartans stay perfect

Andrew Tabbert scored 39 points, and Joe Cremo had a triple-double to lead Scotia-Glenville to a 75-57 Foothills Council victory over Queensbury on Monday night.

The Tartans improved to 18-0.

Cremo finished with 11 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds, and Alex Sausville also scored 11 for Scotia.

Also in the Foothills, Broadalbin-Perth defeated Hudson Falls, 57-42, and Glens Falls downed Johnstown, 60-44.

Preston Taylor led Broadalbin-Perth with 20 points, and Ben Bellandi scored 10.

Brandon Winchell scored 17 points for Hudson Falls.

Mike LaNoir scored 15 points for Glens Falls, and Cam Girard scored 13.

Jamal Vazquez led Johnstown with 11 points.

Anthony Mack scored 28 points to lead Catholic Central to a 68-56 win over Albany in the Big 10.

Marquan Chandler led Albany with 18 points, and Sayeed McPherson scored 14.

Lansingburgh topped Ichabod Crane, 49-42, in the Colonial Council, as Darnell Sutton scored 15 points and Malik Miller 10 for the Knights.

Corinth improved to 9-7 in the Adirondack League and 9-8 overall with a 66-51 win over Warrensburg.

Zack Shippee scored 27 points for Corinth, and Blake Basmajian scored 17.

Nolan Maltbie led Warrensburg with 13 points, and Tyler Wilcox scored 12.

The Ballston Spa girls jumped out to a 22-6 lead in the first quarter and went on to defeat Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, 56-35.

Sydney Hansen made six three-pointers and scored 18 points for the Scotties, Olivia Allrich scored 12 and Jen Groat scored 11.

Molly Gallagher led Burnt Hills with 17 points.

Bethlehem downed Mohonasen, 68-37, as Gabby Giacone and Bridget Murphy each scored 19 points for the Eagles.

Kelsey Cowell scored 20 points for Mohonasen.

Colonie got past Columbia, 46-33, as Sydney Rosales scored 14 points to reach 1,000 for her career at Columbia.

Mary Pattison and Kiana Patterson each scored 20 points as Troy defeated Amsterdam, 71-33, in the Big 10.

Queensbury defeated Scotia-Glenville, 41-26, to earn its first Foothills Council championship since the 1990-91 season.
