— A Shenendehowa High School student will be disciplined after bringing a bullet to school today, district spokeswoman Kelly DeFeciani said.

The bullet was reported to the administration, and the school was locked down for a short time, she said.

"They needed to talk to all the kids in the class," DeFeciani said.

The bullet was determined not to be a threat to students, but the student still will be disciplined. Students are not allowed to bring weapons to school.

Just a bullet or was it a live cartridge ?? A bullet is just a piece of metal and hardly cause for a lockdown and accompanying hysteria.

Yeah, well, you never know when a "bullet" might decide of its own accord to jump up and hit someone...
