Schenectady City Hall to go red
SCHENECTADY Schenectady City Hall has joined the public places lighting up in red today to celebrate the 10th annual National Wear Red Day.
The building will be specially lit throughout the month of February. Because heart disease is the number one cause of death for women in the United States, and in support of the American Heart Association’s America Goes Red campaign to shine the spotlight on heart disease in women, City Hall clock tower will be displayed in red light during February.
“It is my great pleasure to highlight this important women’s health issue by throwing the switch to turn the floodlights red on Schenectady City Hal,” Mayor Gary McCarthy said in a press release.
