Today’s government is too reminiscent of the 1930s

To those who think the Second Amendment was written to keep a militia, they are wrong. Anywhere in the Constitution where it mentions “the people,” that’s exactly what it means.

The designers of our Constitution had more common sense than today’s entire bloated government added together.

They designed gridlock into the system to keep leaders with less common sense from getting anything done. They thought an armed populous was necessary to deter a tyrannical government, which seems more necessary now than ever. Freedom isn’t free.

I read the reference to muzzle loaders being our gun when the Second Amendment was written [and] were not considered as dangerous as today’s weapons. In the Civil War battle of Antietam, over 26,000 Americans were killed or wounded.

If we look at what Obama and Cuomo are doing, it appears to resemble what Lenin did in Russia, and what Hitler did in Germany.

They first start a class war — poor against the rich. Next, they disarm private citizens, which by the way is what the United Nations’ arms trade agreement is trying to do. Does that look familiar?

America didn’t become the greatest nation in the world by being socialist. But our leaders are trying to make us like Europe, which is mostly socialist and which is mostly going broke from being socialist.

We became the greatest from personal freedom, patriotism, and the chance to better ourselves.

Great letter, we are the greatest nation on earth because of our freedom which we are losing every day. people need to pay attention to history and don't ever think that it can't happen here.
