Watch your step -- Sunday's slush turns to ice
CAPITAL REGION The wet snow and slush that fell last night has frozen solid and won’t be melting anytime soon, according to National Weather Service Meteorologist Hugh Johnson.
Temperature are predicted to drop through the 20s today, with occasional gusty winds. Tonight should be dry, with a low around 7 degrees.
Tomorrow, a clipper system is expected to pass through the area and bring an inch or two of snow, with temperatures in the 20s.
New Year’s Eve will be frigid and breezy.
Temperatures will stay below freezing for the rest of the week, Johnson said.
The next chance of significant snow is Thursday.
