— A Northville man is facing drunken-driving and drug-possession charges after a traffic stop early Friday morning in the town of Johnstown.

State police in Mayfield said they stopped Jerome Fonda, 28, on West Fulton Street Extension, after they observed his car “failing to maintain its lane,” according to a news release issued Saturday. Field sobriety tests at the scene indicated Fonda was drunk, police said, and a breath test administered at the barracks measured his blood-alcohol content as 0.09 percent

Police also searched Fonda’s car at the scene and said they found him in possession of about 55 grams of marijuana.

Fonda was charged with driving while intoxicated and fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana. He was arraigned in the Johnstown Town Court and remanded to Fulton County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond. He is set to return to Town Court at 1 p.m.Wednesday, Jan. 15.
