Late Shift tonight
Albany-based alternative rock band The Late Shift plays tonight at The Hollow Bar and Kitchen in Albany.
The four-piece — frontman Scotty Somerville with Mike Davies on guitar, Jake Lester on bass and Sean Murphy on drums — plays original songs.

Rounding it out
The Racquette River Rounders — Danny Gotham, John Kribs and Michael Hatfield — bring their folksy, rootsy sound to Caffe Lena on Friday at 8 p.m.

Electric City Horns, a seven-piece Albany-based band, plays Vapor night club at the Saratoga Raceway and Casino on Friday at 8 p.m.
The band covers rock, blues and pop music from the 1950s and ’60s as well as bringing original numbers into the mix, for audiences to dance to and listen to.

An organic trio
Jazz organ fans should check out The Jon LeRoy Trio on Saturday at 9 Maple Avenue in Saratoga Springs.
The trio — Jon LeRoy on organ, Ted MacKenzie on drums and Mike Novakowski on guitar — plays standards as well as more esoteric tunes by the likes of Jaco Pastorious and Pat Metheny. $2 cover. www.9mapleave.com.
