High schools: Tartans roll past Tigers, 92-44

Joe Cremo scored 26 points, and Alex Sausville and Dom LeMorta led a three-point assault with four apiece as Scotia-Glenville defeated Hudson Falls, 94-44, in a Foothills Council game Saturday.

The Tartans (3-0, 5-0) piled up 34 third-quarter points, and topped the 92 they put up in Friday’s victory over Broadalbin-Perth.

Sausville produced a season-high 22 points, LeMorta added 12 and Mike Palleschi had nine with 14 rebounds. Scott Stopera had 10 assists for the Tartans after recording 15 against Broadalbin-Perth.

Scotia-Glenville knocked down 12 three-point baskets.

Wyatt Gorham led the Tigers with nine points.

Greig Stire scored 17 points, Dan Owens had a season-high 13 and Brian Renauld chipped in with 10 as Christian Brothers Academy (5-1, 5-1) topped Amsterdam for its fourth straight Big 10 win, 69-43.

Bryan Stanavich led the Rams with 11.

Troy beat Utica Proctor, 63-53, in its own tournament, with Justice Walston’s 17 points leading four players in double figures for the 5-1 Flying Horses.

Zack Hilton and Justin Houck were a combined 16-for-17 from the line, and Berne-Knox-Westerlo outlasted Middleburgh, 64-63, in a Western Athletic Conference game Friday night.

Hilton led the Bulldogs with 20 points, and Justin Lee had 13. Troy Hinkley paced the Knights with 24.
