Schenectady man gets 6 months in random attack on 68-year-old

A city man was sentenced Wednesday to six months in jail in a case that involve an unprovoked attack on a 68-year-old man. As the victim walked near Hillhurst Park off Campbell Avenue on Aug. 11, two assailants punched him on the left side of his face and the back of his head. Let's admonish these people for "attempted assault second degree." And after we are done with the admonishment, let's give them a sentence of six months!! That's showing them that this will not be tolerated!! Anyone else in the county who is thinking about assaulting a senior citizen will be SOOOOOO scared of that six months, I am sure it will be quite the deterrent. You can't assault people just because you feel like it, and to prove that I will give you a pathetic sentence.
