Death in Saratoga points to challenge of helping city’s homeless

As temperatures dipped into the teens, Nancy Pitts spent her last night alive in the exposed rear loading area of the Saratoga Springs Senior Center. As the sun rose Thursday, workers at the Williams Street facility tried to roust the 54-year-old homeless woman and a man who had taken shelter under the eaves there.
