Updated: Teen struck by car on Albany Street

A 16-year-old boy was taken to Albany Medical Center after being struck by a car this morning in Woodlawn, police said.
The teen injured his arm, but no other injuries were reported.
Police determined that the teen ran into traffic from in front of a parked car. The driver did not see him.
There is no crosswalk at that intersection. The teen was not ticketed.
The accident happened on Albany Street, near Wagner Avenue, at about 7:45 a.m., police said.
The boy was treated at the scene by Schenectady Fire Department paramedics and taken by ambulance to Albany.
Albany Street between Alvey Street and Myrtle Avenue remained closed an hour after the accident.
