Police are looking for information about a man who reportedly twice approached a child and offered him a ride.

The boy refused this past Sunday and again on Thursday, according to a news release from the Gloversville Police Department.

Police are asking the public for any information about a dark, full-sized truck, possibly a Dodge Ram, with a quad cab, a silver tool box in the bed and lights on top of it. The boy told police the truck had a loud exhaust and rusty wheels.

The man in the truck is described as a black man with graying hair, wearing glasses and a gray hat.

The man approached the boy on East Fulton St. near Cedar St. at about 6:20 p.m. Thursday.

The incident on Sunday happened at 7:30 p.m. on Oakland Ave.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Gloversville Police Department at 773-4506 or 736-2100.
