The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the Capital Region that will remain in effect from 10 this evening until noon Monday. Snow is expected to overspread the area from south to north tonight and transition to sleet and freezing rain Monday morning, which could make for a dangerous morning commute. A changeover to plain rain is expected by early Monday afternoon.
