Woman pulled from Erie Canal after car crash
SYRACUSE Authorities say a woman is in serious condition at a Syracuse hospital after she was pulled from her vehicle after it crashed into the Erie Canal.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office tells The Post-Standard of Syracuse (http://bit.ly/1eP9ggD) that the woman was driving her car around 6:30 a.m. today when she hit a slippery stretch. Deputies say the car left the road and overturned into the canal in the town Sullivan, 15 miles east of Syracuse.
Emergency crews freed her from the car and she was taken to Upstate Medical Hospital in Syracuse.
The woman’s name hasn’t been released.
Deputies are continuing their investigation into the crash.
