Downtown Schenectady group to host annual Holiday Open House

Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation and downtown Schenectady businesses will host an afternoon of shopping, dining, music and more on Saturday, from Noon-5pm during the 10th Annual Holiday Open House. Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy, free live music, crafts, demonstrations, horse & carriage rides, the Holly Jolly Trolley, photos with Santa, along with holiday shopping and dining specials. The event concludes with the lighting of the City of Schenectady Holiday Tree. Once again this year, the "Holiday Cash Mob" will encourage visitors to support the local economy by spending at least $25 at Downtown Schenectady businesses during the Holiday Open House. Just present your receipts totaling $25 or more at the event table on Jay Street or Union Street and fill out a "Holiday Cash Mob" form to be entered to win downtown prizes.
