High schools: BH-BL pushes streak to 330 in volleyball

Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake and Guilderland opened defense of their Suburban Council division championships with three-set sweeps Friday. Kathleen Schurman collected eight kills, and sophomore Natalie Schurman had five kills and five aces in Burnt Hills’ 25-18, 25-10, 25-13 victory over Colonie. Burnt Hills, the reigning North Division champion, extended its league win streak to 330 matches going back to the 1990 season. Taylor Bannister had five kills, and Casey Schreiner added 14 assists for Colonie. ...
