Albany man admits sex assault on child at museum
ALBANY An Albany man pleaded guilty today to first-degree sexual assault in connection with a June 4 incident in which a child was molested in a restroom.
Edward Tubbs, 22, entered his plea before Judge Peter A. Lynch in Albany County Court, according to a news release issued today by the District Attorney’s Office.
Tubbs admitted to sexually abusing a child under the age of 7 on June 4. The incident occurred in a restroom at the New York State Museum in Albany.
He will be sentenced Oct. 16, and is likely to face four years in state prison followed by 10 years of post-release supervision. He must also register as a sex offender upon his release from state prison.
Assistant District Attorney Christina Calabrese of the Special Victims Unit is handling the prosecution of this case.
