Albany Pro Musica conductor Griggs-Janower dies

The founding director of Albany Pro Musica, David Griggs-Janower, died Sunday afternoon, five months after suffering a stroke during surgery, the group said Sunday evening. He was 60 years old. He will be missed by the community. He was an inspiration to many, including young singers. I used to talk with him when my daughter was practicing with the Capital District Youth Chorale, which met at UAlbany.
