Halfmoon firefighter injured by tow truck improving

The Halfmoon firefighter run over by a tow truck last week has had his condition upgraded from critical to serious, according to fire officials. Allen Ayotte’s lower body was run over Aug. 13. He sustained a broken leg, a fractured pelvis and possibly internal injuries, state police said at the time.
