The city and Sgt Clifford shouldn't be on the hook for a penny. A poor decision by Lt Temple should fall on his shoulder solely. Sgt Clifford shouldn't even be mentioned in this law suit. Has the Sheriffs Dept. ever heard of the word "Policy"?

Don't think it's an issue of the PD disliking the Sheriff's Dept. It's probably due to resentment that the SPD officer really did nothing wrong, although the article (because of the language in the claim) might lead one to believe they did.

And, as usual, the anonymity of the internet brings out the cheap shot artists.

It was a mistake, the individual will be compensated.

All I know is that Eric Clifford should never have been named in this lawsuit and that the city should have fought to have him removed from it. It is ridiculous to blame him for not stopping Temple, how would Clifford know that he would fire his taser at a guy hanging off a bridge. BTW daily, thanks for confirming my suspicions.

If you have a problem with someone you should take it up with them directly and not use this medium for personal attacks and other childish nonsense.
