The Aberdeen IronBirds scored seven runs off Tri-City reliever Andrew Thurman and sent the ValleyCats to their eighth straight loss, 8-4, in the New York-Penn League Friday night. Despite the loss, the ValleyCats remained tied for first place in the Stedler Division, as Lowell lost to Batavia.
