Man who shot himself in Schenectady faces gun charges

The Schenectady man who accidentally shot himself in the groin with a gun that had been tucked into his waistband is now facing weapons charges. It turns out the gun was stolen from North Carolina, police said. Joseph A. Hewitt, 21, has been charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Maybe, according to Kathleen Moore, he should have exchanged some of his food stamps and purchased a holster with the cash. Cause you cannot buy a holster with Food Stamps and he really needed one. Poor guy.
