A month after an appeals court ordered a new trial for a Saratoga Springs man who shot another man in the leg in 2009 during a drug-fueled argument, the defendant has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge. Frederick W. Clark Jr., 49, pleaded guilty Thursday to second-degree assault and is expected to get two years in state prison and 11⁄2 years of post-release supervision when he is sentenced Sept. 15.
