Editorial: Improve federal brownfields law

New York state’s original brownfields law, passed in 2003, was too generous on the redevelopment side, providing unlimited tax credits to New York City developers for megaprojects they likely would have undertaken anyway. The Legislature was right to amend it in 2008 and cap those credits. But the federal government’s brownfields program doesn’t need to be restricted, it needs to be expanded. Sen. Have the pages of this newspaper ever been critical of Tonko or Gillibrand? $250 million dollars? Seriously. During Sequestor Summer? We have more important things to spend money on! Like taking Obama's 75-person entourage to Martha's Vineyard. And giving $500 million dollars to Hamas. We are witnessing a run on the U.S. treasury that our kids will find impossible to reconcile. Shame on U.S.

How many soldiers that have planned to make the military a career are being forced out because of the sequestration. How about cancelled White House tours? But you want to spend 250 million dollars? Ridiculous liberal thinking, you just cant make this stuff up.
